The Salad Maker celebrated its official Grand Opening on November 17th! Located near The Paramount, just off The Charlottesville Downtown Mall at 300 East Market Street, The Salad Maker is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 7 pm.

“The Salad Maker came about after recognizing the desire of people to eat healthy and local. Charlottesville and the surrounding cities have an abundance of fantastic options from local farms – from greens and vegetables, to local free range chicken and grass fed beef. I felt there was a need in the downtown area for a quick-serve restaurant with a place to sit or take away a freshly made salad to order. I love the idea of a classic salad – Greek, Spinach, etc… – but also wanted to allow Chef Karen to create salads with a variety of local ingredients. And because people frequently just want a salad that they create themselves, there is an option to build your own salad.”
