Charlottesville should expand the pedestrian-friendly Downtown Mall (the crown jewel of the city) to include The Ix Building (and the valuable land around it) and Belmont Proper, including the dining district featuring Mas Tapas, The Local, Tavola, Belmont BBQ and La Taza. Imagine the unbelievable possibilities of having a pedestrian-friendly dining, shopping and entertainment district that covers five times the surface area that it does now! Eilen’s fans have marveled at her warmth, unique wit, and onstage humor. Her song writing is a blend of influences from early blues, rockabilly and surf-noir, to 1960s era rock and roll. Her repertoire includes everything from up-tempo rockers that swing, to stunning, lyrically poetic ballads. Steve Monson earned his Master’s from the University of Missouri where he was in charge of the creation and operation of the school’s experimental winery. Upon graduation, Steve worked as an intern at a small, premium Bordeaux blend producer just outside of Portland, Oregon. He is now excited to return to a more familiar climate and become part of the Virginia wine family.
